The soft side of change has been an essential element in both our thought leadership and consulting success. Donald Norris and Rhea Blanken, President of Results Technology, have partnered in a decade-long collaboration to demonstrate how organizations can unleash the innovative and creative power of their members, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders. They have discovered practices that prepare individuals and teams for change and enable them to reach new plans of creativity and open their minds to the possibilities of future. Rhea Blanken has incorporated these techniques into a series of immersive problem-solving experiences. They can be used to engage individuals and groups in their own workspaces or in external environments. These problem-solving experiences enable participants to both solve intractable problems and to tackle even greater issues in the future. They can be part of a larger Leading and Navigating Change project or serve as a stand-alone developmental experience.
Our thought leaders on Fostering Innovation, Creativity, and the Human Side of Change include Donald Norris, Rhea Blanken, Sherry Gevedon, Samuel Kirkpatrick, Ann Oliveri, Ruth Johnson, Charles Lattimer, and Allison Vallincourt. The following articles and monographs illustrate our thought leadership in this area: Donald M. Norris, “Communities of Practice and Learning in Higher Education,” SCT Executive Summit, March 27, 2004.
