Since the publication of “A Guide for New Planners” in 1991 by the Society for College and University Planning, Donald Norris has been regarded as a thought leader in the practice of planning in colleges and universities. His subsequent work on organizational transformation further advanced his thought leadership in strategic planning.
He also published a series of books and monographs for the association industry in the 1990s that established him as a thought leader in bringing planning and management concepts to that industry. These included: “Market-Driven Management: Lessons Learned from 20 Successful Associations”, “Getting You Association Hooked on Quality, Winning with Diversity,” and “Thriving in the Knowledge Age: A Survival Guide for Your Association.” Donald Norris has recently captured the essence of the required transformations in leadership in the white Paper “Planning and Leadership in Transnational World.” Available online. A new white paper “Leveraging Technology Through Comprehensive Change Management,” by Don Norris, Samuel Kirkpatrick, and Linda Baer, is also now available. Online pdf version 4Mb.
